Collate are delighted to have raised over £238 by taking part in the world’s biggest coffee morning on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Care.
Collate are proud to donate all proceeds to both Macmillan Cancer Support and Macmillan Caring Locally – the Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital – a Specialist Palliative Care Unit for patients in South East Dorset and South West Hampshire – run by the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Organised by Judith, the coffee morning was a huge success with people popping in from all corners of Hampshire. The stakes were set high and staff pulled out all the stops to scoop as much money for the two charities as possible.
Colin Merecki, Managing Director of Collate says “one thing we all have in common at Collate is a love of cake, so what better way to get together with other businesses across the county, eat and sell cake in support this great charity.”
All cakes were made by staff, and included many flavours of cupcakes, cherry and almond victoria sponge, fruit loaf, coffee and walnut cake, chocolate cake, chocolate and baileys cheesecake, and a bespoke Collate copier cake, made by Mark, our resident cake extraordinaire, and MPS expert.
The chocolate indulgence cake, with a Madagascan vanilla cream and truffles was even purchased in advance by a very generous donation, before the coffee morning had started.
There was also a raffle to win various bottles of wine and spirits, a guess the bean competition, and John Bond from Expro in Ringwood won a full car valet, which was kindly donated by Top Valet.
Collate would like to thank everyone who took part in the coffee morning and for the generous donations in support of this wonderful charity which means so much.
If you couldn’t make it on the day, but would like to donate, please do so here.
